Step 1: Find a short video clip of a scene from a movie (please don\’t choose anything that may be overtly sexual or offensive). It can be an animated film, romcom, drama, etc. Try to choose something your classmates haven\’t already chosen.
Step 2: Identify two nonverbal cues you see in the film clip (e.g. gestures, eye contact, facial expression, movement, tone of voice, etc.). Then in your discussion response, identify how these cues function in the interaction (e.g. repeating, substituting, complementing, regulating, contradicting verbal messages). Share your impression of the interaction and how you believe the nonverbal behavior influenced the interaction. Be sure to include a link to the video clip in your response so your peers can view it and comment on your post.
