Sceptics may argue that e-commerce will never be more than a phenomenon like mail order sales, appealing to certain segments of the market but, all in all, remaining a modest phenomenon. Would you agree? Why and/or in which cases?
Some futurologists indicate that what is happening now on the Internet is just the beginning of the ‘digital age’; in a couple of decades, we will be surrounded by ‘ambient intelligence’, and ubiquitous computing will make the way we work and live today very much ‘outdated’?
