Dating/Relationship/Domestic Violence

You will write a final paper on any of the subjects covered in this seminar. You will submit a written proposal by the end of the 4th week outlining your plan and intended subject. You will then continue writing your paper after my approval. The paper should

• be 4 to 6 pages (not including cover page and list of references)
• be typed, double-spaced, 1-inch margins, 12-point Times New Roman font, and include at least five scholarly citations (not website articles, Wikipedia, news agencies, magazines, and etc.),

My Outline: Dating/Relationship/Domestic Violence For the purpose of this assignment, I will be referencing the statistics of Domestic Violence cases in the United States. Domestic Violence is common amongst females and males, it is also not in only couples. In my paper, I will be touching on why women or men stay in a domestic relationship. I will be talking about the psychological effects domestic relationships have on the victim. Three things I will be touching on: Emotional Abuse Physical Abuse Mental Abuse Questions I will be answering are:

Why do partners become abusive?

How to tell who is in a domestic relationship?

Why is it hard to leave a domestic partner?

Why does the victim protect their abuser?

What are the signs of domestic abuse?
